Fans of Robbie Williams take note: the cheeky pop star has announced a 17-date tour for 2013.
The one-time Take That pinup claimed his recent sell-out shows at the O2 Arena in London had rekindled his appetite for performing on stage:
“I’ve got such a buzz out of playing live again this year. The shows we have done have reminded me how special it is to play my songs in front of a huge audience, with all the excitement and adrenaline that it can bring. Bring on 2013!”
X Factor runner-up Olly Murs will be the support act for the tour, which starts at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on 19 and 21 June.
There are futher dates at Hampden Park in Glasgow (25 June) and Wembley Stadium in London (29 and 30 June), before Williams and his entourage depart for a road trip around Europe.
Murs revealed his excitement about the tour:
“Everyone knows I am a huge fan of Robbie, and I’m honoured to call him my friend. He’s been a huge inspiration to me and given me so much advice throughout my career so far. When he asked me to join him on tour I was over the moon!”
It will be Williams’ first full tour in over six years, and follows the release of his latest album Take The Crown, which went to number one earlier this month.
Tickets will be go on sale at 9am on Friday (30 Nov).
