Tim Burgess has announced a 10-date tour of the UK this September, calling at a series of more intimate venues than he’s used to playing with his band The Charlatans.
Burgess, who celebrates his 46th birthday today, released his second solo album Oh No I Love You last year, with the remix version, Oh No I Love You More, out next week.
The singer-songwriter’s run of shows begins in Bedford and includes a show as far north as Shetland, before finishing up in Leeds.
Burgess recorded his latest album in Nashville and it features contributions from members of Lambchop, Clem Snide, My Morning Jacket and Chris Scruggs.
The new version of the album includes guest appearances from actress Asio Argento, Kurt Wagner, The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Anton Newcombe and R. Stevie Moore, as well as remixes from Django Django, The Horrors, Perc and Factory Floor.
Tickets for the tour go on sale on May 31.
Meanwhile, The Charlatans are reportedly working on demos for a new album and will headline the Kendal Calling festival on July 27 as well as playing their own headline show at Delamere Forest on July 7 as part of Forest Live.
