Noel Gallagher reviews Oasis videos: ‘I hate everything about them’
Noel Gallagher

You could never accuse Noel Gallagher of mincing his words, but while his previous targets have included Phil Collins, Keane and Jay-Z, now it’s Oasis.

Or more accurately, Oasis videos from his former band’s ’90s heyday.

A YouTube user has edited together the best bits of Noel’s commentary on the Time Flies: 1994-2009 video collection, with hilarious results.

Noel is quick to dampen down any thoughts of glamourous shoots:

“I hate videos at the best of times, but actually being in the video where you’re supposed to be the actual frontman is just the biggest pain in the f***ing arse ever.”

On ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ Noel says:

“A guy actually said to me on this video shoot, ‘can you do that bit again but with a bit more energy in your eyes?’ I still have no idea what he meant by that to this day. Do you want me to stare at you like a f***ing serial killer, I don’t know. Nonsense.”

Their  video for their 1997 No.1 single ‘D’You Know What I Mean?’ was famously expensive, as Noel freely admits:

“Look at all those helicopters, that cost a f***ing fortune.”
