The Cornetto Trilogy may have come to an end – but Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright have revealed they’re teaming up for a new movie.
In an interview with BBC 6 Music, Pegg confirmed that he and Wright are working on a new film together.
The two are famous for Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy, which includes rom-zom-com Shaun of the Dead, action comedy Hot Fuzz and sci-fi caper The World’s End, with all starring both Pegg and Nick Frost.
The new film won’t continue on from the trilogy, however. Pegg explained:
“When we said the trilogy was over, it was because that group of films was over. They’re all kind of related with each other and deal with a specific idea. There’s a criteria to those films.”
Pegg revealed that they already have a title for the film and promised even more, saying:
“We made three films in ten years and hopefully in the next decade we’ll make another three.”
