Music: Ricercar Consort

The International Festival’s series of early evening concerts at Greyfriars is drawing to a close. For today’s penultimate event, Belgium’s Ricercar Consort perform choral and instrumental music from the early German baroque period, by Scheidt, Schutz and Schein. There’s more baroque tomorrow, with Concerto Italiano.

Guitarist RM Hubbert won a Scottish Album of the Year Award for 13 Lost and Found, his series of collaborations with Scottish indie stars such as Aidan Moffat and Alex Kapranos. He’s joined for this gig by another of them, Chemikal Underground label-mate Emma Pollock.
