A guided tour of Edinburgh’s Maison de Moggy cat café
Maison de Moggy cat cafe

In our Access All Areas series we lift the lid on what you don’t normally get to see at your favourite shops, venues and restaurants.

This time we stopped by Maison de Moggy – Scotland’s first dedicated cat café – which opened at the end of January in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh.

Updated June 2015: Maison de Moggy now has a permanent home in the Grassmarket (address below).

Watch our tour of Maison de Moggy

The idea is to kick your shoes off, make yourself at home and spend some quality time with Maison de Moggy’s playful residents: ten cats of all different breeds, colours and sizes.

There’s tea, coffee and cake on offer (all sourced from local suppliers) but none for the cats, of course. Instead, you can purchase special treats which will make you very popular with your new furry friends.

Maison de Moggy manager Claire Morrison showed us around the brand new premises and introduced us to the feline stars.
