The stars were out in the Scottish capital last night as the Edinburgh International Film Festival got underway in style, with the world premiere of Robert Carlyle’s directorial debut The Legend of Barney Thomson.
Alan Laidlaw was on the red carpet to catch up with the legendary actor – and now director.
