Some evenings, you’re just not ready to go home when the pub calls last orders.
You’d like one more for the road. Maybe two.
If only there was somewhere still open, somewhere you could kick back with a cold beer or a cocktail and listen to some good music until the early hours.
Well, here you go. From tropical Tiki hideaways to bourbon bars, our pick of the best late-night drinking dens in Manchester.
The Liquor Store

You’ll be greeted with stylish bare brickwork, vintage Los Angeles Liquor Store signage, a cool soundtrack, and a bar crammed with liquors from around the globe at The Liquor Store. They’re open until 3am every night, so settle in and enjoy the beers, wines and great cocktails. We love the St Hendricks Elderley Rose (Hendricks, St Germain, rose liqueur, lemon juice, prosecco), the Manchester Mule (Absolut vodka, Vimto, fresh lime and cherry bitters, ginger ale), and the Brown Bag Iced Tea (a Havanna Especial heavy twist on the classic, lengthened with honey and cream soda, served in a liquor store brown bag).
