9 weird and wonderful Harry Potter movie mash-ups
dumb and dumbledore

Imagine a world where every movie is a Harry Potter movie. Thanks to a new movie mash-up craze, you can do just that.

This week, Twitter users have been using the #HarryPotterAMovie tag to share their imaginative Harry Potter-fied film inventions.

To celebrate JK. Rowling’s birthday today and commend the inventors of creations like Of Mice and Muggles, Dude, Where’s My Scar? and Neville Wears Prada, here are a pick of the most weird and wonderful creations.

1. The Fault in Our Stairs

A story about Harry Potter’s miserable life, living under his Uncle’s staircase (a bit like the original, but more stairs).

2. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of ASS-kaban

Kim Kardashian could almost star as Draco Malfoy’s twin sister in The Prisoner of ASS-kaban. A truly fitting cast addition.

3. The Rise of the Planet of the Snapes

A planet of Snape’s trying to take over the world… terrifying and hilarious.

4. Dumb & Dumbledore

Now, here’s one we really want to see. God knows what these two would get up to with Lloyd’s chaotic antics and Dumbledore’s wand.

5. Horton Hears A Horcrux

Fun kids film turned scary thriller… poor Horton doesn’t know what he’s in for by the looks of it.

6. 12 Years a House Elf

Poor Dobby always deserved a spin-off all of his own, so what better than a biographical film following his journey as a house elf under the thumb of Lucius Malfoy?

7. Dare-Neville

Martial arts superhero becomes a bit of a wally in Dare-Neville. But alas, Neville has proven that we underestimated his courage once and he may prove us wrong again, becoming a better crime fighter than the original Daredevil ever was.

8. The Crookshanks Redemption

In case you don’t know already, Crookshank is the name of Hermione Granger’s cat. Before the Harry Potter movies, he apparently starred in The Crookshanks Redemption alongside Tim Purr-bins and Morgan Furr-man (sorry).

9. Snapes on a Plane

Snape, Snape, Severus Snape. What use is a gun when the Snapes have their wands, Jackson?
