Update: we’ve extended the competition until midnight tonight (2 Oct) – find out how to enter below
Taking place at the cinema of Glasgow’s Centre for Contemporary Arts between October 1-4 2015, WoFF offers four full days of film screenings, theatre performances, live events and networking receptions – bringing a vibrant and youthful vibe to the city’s emerging film and theatre scene.
This year, the festival comes with a brand new programme, transforming from a West End festival into a contemporary event that will gather audiences with various interests and tastes in film and theatre – and bring together audiences from Glasgow’s multi-stranded art scene.
WoFF 2015 will include a First Feature Competition showcasing successful submissions from debut feature film directors; The Female Perspective showcasing the work of female independent filmmakers; a selection of films known from the festival circuit; and the Best of MIAFF 2015 – an animation programme including the ‘Best of’ selection of the Montreal International Animation Film Festival, which took place in April.
Theatre performances, staged and performed by young talents from Glasgow and the wider UK, will surround the film screenings programme.
Add to that the fact that many filmmakers and producers will be attending to present their films and hold a Q&A after the screenings, and you have yourself one of the most exciting city film festivals in the country.
