Neil Young and Promise of the Real announce UK tour dates

Neil Young has announced a series of UK tour dates next summer where he will be joined by a backing band featuring Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real.

The Canadian rocker will play shows in Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Leeds and London.

Remarkably, it will be the first time the 70 year old rock star has ever played Belfast.

Young embarked on two legs of the Rebel Content Tour with Promise of the Real in 2015 and they’ll be resuming it again in Europe next year.

They received positive reviews for their recent shows, and Young, who had previously toured with long-time backing band Crazy Horse, seems to have found a renewed passion for playing old favourites like ‘Cortez the Killer’ and ‘Alabama’.

Tickets go on sale from 9am on Friday (18 Dec).

Neil Young and Promise of the Real play the following UK and Ireland dates:

5 June 2016 –  SSE Hydro, Glasgow
7 June 2016 – SSE Arena, Belfast
8 June 2016 – 3Arena, Dublin
10 June 2016 – First Direct Arena, Leeds
11 June 2016 – O2 Arena, London
