The Last Shadow Puppets press shot

Iron your turtnecks and prepare the Brylcreem, Alex Turner and Miles Kane will be heading to a music venue near you in March or April.

Following an eight-year hiatus to pursue their own projects, The Last Shadow Puppets are back with new album Everything You’ve Come To Expect set for release on April 1.

Accompanying the record, the creative duo of Turner and Kane have announced a number of European tour dates with a four UK shows for good measure.

Shying away from the arena-style gigs you would be accustomed to from the Arctic Monkeys, The Last Shadow Puppets have opted for Edinburgh’s Usher Hall, Liverpool’s Olympia, London’s Hackney Empire and City Hall in Sheffield – all fairly snug venues steeped in history.

The lead single from the album, titled ‘Bad Habits’, suggests a slightly more The Sonics style garage rock tinge to the previous string-heavy indie ballads of The Age of the Understatement – so it will be interesting to see what those intimate audiences are treated to on the upcoming mini-tour.

Tickers will be go on sale on Friday (29 Jan) at 9am.

The Last Shadow Puppets will be playing the following dates

26 Mar: Usher Hall, Edinburgh
1 Apr: Hackney Empire, London
2 Apr: Olympia, Liverpool
3 Apr: City Hall, Sheffield
