Chris Brown sparks outrage with Kehlani suicide tweets

Chris Brown continues his long-running streak as one of the most controversial people on the planet, after a series of tweets related to a suicide attempt by Kehlani.

To set up some background to Brown’s most recent social f***-up, R&B singer Kehlani was hospitalised on Monday (March 28) following an apparent suicide attempt.

The artist, who had been the source of ‘cheating’ rumours over her relationship with basketball player Kyle Irving and her ex-partner Canadian artist PartyNextDoor, shared a photo on Instagram from her hospital bed.

The since-deleted post (and entire account for that matter) was accompanied with a long messaged which began:

“I wanted to leave this earth. Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I’d get to such a low point.”

She also continued:

“But.. Don’t believe the blogs you read .. No one was cheated on and I’m not a bad person… Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding.”

While many would probably take this as a moment to extend some sympathy, or at least give the young artist privacy, Chris Brown decided to give his ‘hot take’ on the whole event on Twitter:

Naturally, the irony of Chris Brown dishing out relationship advice wasn’t lost:

While Brown is no stranger to acting stupidly, it’s an important reminder that the music industry continues to welcome this man with open arms. Into the Shame Cube you go, Chris.
