Batman’s involvement in the anti-hero epic has been let slip in the latest Suicide Squad trailer.
Well, we say ‘let slip’, but DC’s intention to involve Batman in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie has hardly been much of a lock-and-key secret for a while now. Jared Leto’s freaky new rendition of The Joker would surely be incomplete without a Caped Crusader to fight against.
In a brand new trailer for the August-bound anti-hero epic though, they’ve come all-out, and physically shown us scenes of the movie involving the Dark Knight himself.
Watch the new Suicide Squad trailer below:
In the latest trailer, we see Bats straddling the roof of an automobile, that perhaps serves as one of the villain’s getaway vehicles.
Perhaps Batman is charged with recruiting the reckless ‘protagonists’ of the movie, and this scene is an exhibition of his ‘persuasive techniques’?
We also get a glimpse of Bruce Wayne’s better half, The Joker, showcasing his diving prowess as he jumps head-first off a building, into a river below.
Perfect 10 material? Who knows. In fact, we’re finding it hard to even theorise as to Batman’s suicidal reasoning when leaping over the edge of the rooftop, unless, in true comic-book fashion, Jared Leto’s incarnation of The Joker commandeers some kind of clown-clad submarine as part of his devilish deeds (it could happen).
Seriously, who knows what David Ayer’s Suicide Squad will bring for our favourite heroes an villains – all we know is that Batman’s involvement can only mean good things after Affleck’s positive performance in Dawn of Justice.
Yes, believe it or not, he was quite good.
Suicide Squad is out in cinemas this August
