Hundreds of nude cyclists are to take to Manchester’s streets this Friday for the annual World Naked Bike Ride.
The event will be celebrating its tenth anniversary in Manchester and is part of a global initiative which takes place in 70 cities across the world.
The mass ride has three main aims: to highlight the vulnerability of cyclists on the street; to protest against fossil fuels and the dominance of cars; and to celebrate people and bodies in all shapes and sizes.

Those that take part in the World Naked Bike Ride as encouraged to be “as bare as they dare” so riders are not asked to remove more clothing than they feel comfortable with, and body paint and fancy dress is also more than welcome.
Last year, more than 300 riders joined in with the ride.
The Manchester World Naked Bike Ride is also part of North West Velo Fest 16, a ten-day long celebration of cycling.
