Louis CK is coming to Edinburgh this August

One of America’s biggest comedy stars in set to hit Edinburgh this August, with a performance smack bang in the middle of the Edinburgh Festival season

Louis CK is a US stand-up comedian, known for self-deprecating humour, shameless observations and genuinely being one of the funniest people on the planet.

The red-headed funny man had previously announced a number of shows at the Eventim Apollo in London throughout August, but CK has now added another three nights to that run, as well as a show at the Edinburgh Playhouse on August 11.

As well as his stand-up shows, Louis CK is also known for his lauded pseudo-reality show Louie, where he plays an exaggerated version of himself. He also recently launched a new web series titled Horace & Pete starring Steve Buscemi and has starred in movies such as Trumbo and American Hustle.

This will be the first time the stand-up has played in Edinburgh since 2008. This isn’t a show to be missed.

Louis CK will be playing the Edinburgh Playhouse on August 11, tickets available at myticket.co.uk/artists/louis-ck
