With his knack for writing slick dialogue and nailing memorable personality traits, popular filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has created some of the most iconic characters in cinema history.
And now he’s revealed that his favourite of all time is none other than…Colonel Hans Landa.
Speaking at the weekend, Tarantino said that the witty and ruthless Nazi officer from Inglorious Basterds was right at the top of his satisfaction list:
“Landa is the best character I’ve written – and maybe the best I ever will write.”
There’s no doubt that the bad guys (and girls) of Tarantino’s movies have often been enjoyable and terrifying for audiences in equal measure.
From Leonardo DiCaprio’s idiotic bu sadistic slave owner Calvin Candie in Django Unchained…
…to the dancing, ear-slicing Mr Blonde in Reservoir Dogs.
