Noel Gallagher says he hates fan selfies – and it shows

Noel Gallagher is one of the most outspoken voices in modern music, and now his ire has a new target. Fan selfies

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the cocksure former-Oasis man weighs in on taking pictures with fans, declaring them the only downside to being famous. But here’s the catch: he still grudgingly takes loads of them.

Gallagher said:

“There’s no downside to fame. It is a bit awkward when you’re just walking around a department store trying to buy underwear and there’s people following you with camera phones and shit like that.”

His response to fans who do have the balls to ask him for a pic? A sharp tongue lashing:

“I’m sick of fans asking for selfies, but I just tell them to go and f*ck themselves. I’m not beholden to anyone with a camera phone and I don’t give a f*ck if they think I’m an a*sehole.

“I turn down photographs on a daily basis. When people say can I have a picture and I just say no and they just (laugh and) go, ‘Yeah, what really?’ ‘Yeah really I’m f*cking busy here buying underwear’.”

But, after some cutting-edge undercover investigative journalism (i.e. logging on to Instagram), WOW247 can exclusively reveal that the usually watertight rants of Gallagher cut no mustard with fans.

He doesn’t look particularly happy (in any of them):

Maybe the Britpop icon told this fan to go f*ck himself on a second request for a non-blurry pic, but he at least agreed to a first:

Is this Noel’s non-plussed selfie face? Or his non-plussed Oasis press shot face?

Granted this one was with Pep Guardiola, new manager of Noel’s favourite team, Manchester City. But still…

By avoiding eye contact, Noel has inadvertantly made this selfie all the more cooler:

And there’s more:

If you see the star out on the street, feel free to ask him for a photo. He won’t swear at you, honest!
