It’s that time of the month. It’s time to head to the barbers; your barnet and beard are overgrown and your hobo-chic joke isn’t cutting it anymore.

With more and more barber shops popping up, it’s hard to spot the master cutters from the cowboy snippers and there’s a real chance that you can spend the next month walking round looking like a mug.

We’re here to help though, with a list of the barbers in the steel city that you can trust with a steel cut-throat razor.

Honkytonk’s Barbers

Hidden away in the Forum shopping arcade on Devonshire Street, laid-back Honkytonks is home to the seriously skilled Harry Myers (and his dog Delilah). The barber shop picked up Exposed magazine’s Gents Barbershop of the year in 2015 due to it’s commitment to the highest standard of haircuts and hot-towel cut-throat shaves.

The welcoming Shiregreen barber scooped The Sheffield Star’s salon of the year title in 2015 for its high-value service. The four-man team have served across some of the pricier hairdressers in the city and are now offering the same service for £7.50.

If you’re short for cash, but still looking for a top class haircut then this is the place for you.
