Enjoy a treasure house of transport history at the Grampian Transport Museum.
Follow the history of travel and transport in the north east of Scotland through dramatic displays, working exhibits and video presentations.
For the 2016 season they have the Guy Martin Collection: a selection of bikes and artefacts loaned by Guy Martin including a stunning Rolls Royce Merlin engine from a Spitfire and a selection of his racing motorcycles.
Also on display is Goliath, the world’s largest showman’s engine, which you can climb aboard as well as the Next of Kin WWI Exhibition.
Every year the museum in Alford, Aberdeenshire aims to refresh a third of the displays and the updates continue with the ‘Golden Wonder’ Rover Vitesse Rally Car and the Ford Focus WRC driven by the late Scottish champion Colin McRae in 2001.
