From new restaurants and bars opening soon to fashion, sweet treats and even a trampolining centre, there’s plenty to discover in Sheffield this month.
We’ve had our ears to the ground – here’s our pick of what you really need to know about in your city this month.
1. Jöro has got our mouths watering
Jöro – built entirely from recycled shipping containers on the ground floor of the KRYNKL development in Shalesmoor – will have a close bond with nature, from local farms to hunters and foragers.
You can expect small plates to share here (incorporating hyper seasonal ingredients and locally sourced food) when this urban restaurant opens in November. A sample menu includes North Yorkshire peas cooked in lovage oil with chorizo and smoked garlic cream, or plaice cooked in pine butter.

2. The Botanist has landed

The Botanist (operated by The New World Trading Company) opened its tenth UK site just last week in Leopold Square, and it’s a big operation.
The huge bar covers ten thousand square feet across three floors of the Grade II listed building, and has a large outside area too. You can expect botanical cocktails and loads of gins and craft beers alongside a menu of deli, rotisserie and BBQ food, plus live music.
