Billed by his publicist as “a final goodbye to his fans”, the singer, 65, will play the arena gigs in April as part of his Last At Bat tour – a set of greatest hits as well as the classic 1977 album which made him a star.

Speaking about the ‘Last At Bat’ tour, Meat Loaf said:

“When Jim (Steinman) and I first came together, we couldn’t have dreamt the profound effect ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ would have on both our lives, and the lives of our fans around the world. I know the fans will enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed putting it together.”

Tickets for all dates go on sale this Friday (21 Dec) at 9am.
