Sponsored feature: The Harrogate Dance Festival has announced its performers and full events programme, and we have a special offer for those looking attend.
Six times UK Dance Champion duo Richard Still and Morgan Hemphill and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists AJ & Chloe are among the names performing at the Harrogate Dance Festival, which will take place between May 17-18.
The Harrogate Dance Festival celebrates popular dance by offering a full weekend teeming with workshops, dance events and master-classes. Following the success of last year, the festival has returned and this year’ promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Not just an event for the seasoned dancer but one for the beginner too, this year will see the doors of Harrogate’s Royal Hall open for all of Saturday, with free dance lessons to whoever wants to give their hips a spin, whether on their own or with a partner.
For the more experienced dancers the festival has Still & Morgan teaching on the Saturday, as well as elite professional instructors Karen Byron, Andrew Thrower and Amy Pedder.
Undoubtedly the highlight of the festival, The Gala Dance Night at Harrogate’s Royal Hall is a full evening of live music and a great chance to dance in the historic venue.
The UK Dance Champions will be performing excerpts from their live show along side AJ & Chloe, who are set to dazzle with their fast-paced Latin routines. White Diamond Entertainment, Harrogate’s own professional entertainment and events company, will also have dances featured.
The locally-based Echo 42 Big Band, replete with a multitude of singers, will also perform a wide and reaching repertoire of live dance music, and the audience will have a chance to dance on the magnificent maple sprung floor of the Grand Hall. Local based choir Rock Up & Sing will also accompany the dance professionals.
On the Saturday, music will resound throughout the beautifully-restored Royal Hall, with its gleaming floor the perfect place to host professional, budding and amateur dancers alike.
