Hymn to Disappearance

Published by Kelly Apter

Edinburgh Festival Fringe Scotsman review (dance, physical theatre and circus): Hymn to Disappearance at Summerhall (Venue 26). Review by Kelly Apter

Mask, physical storytelling and nine short vignettes about life come together in this confusing show by China’s Theater Santuoqi.

The performers work passionately to deliver the abstract tales with gusto, but at times it’s hard to grasp what’s happening on the surface, rendering any deeper meaning even more elusive.

Until 20 August, Today 6:05pm.
