Can’t Stay Away!

Published by David Pollock

Edinburgh Festival Fringe Scotsman review (theatre): Can’t Stay Away! at theSpace on Niddry Street (Venue 9). Review by David Pollock

Haughtily subtitled, this ensemble piece from the Fourth Monkey company explores racism from the perspective of a Dickensian Eastern European migrant, through the strata of British society and a few smart song and dance sequences.

The words of a racist pub owner as they express the fears behind their hate resonate, but largely the piece is too crowded and busy to make its point clearly.

Until tomorrow. Today 7pm, more info
