Genre-defying electronica talent Hudson Mohawke has lent his unconventional remixing abilities to soul star Paolo Nutini’s single ‘Iron Sky’ – listen below.

They both hail from the same (or roughly the same) part of Scotland, yet you could hardly pick two less similar artists than Paolo Nutini and Hudson Mohawke.

But Glaswegian producer HudMo, who specialises in maximal soundscapes that draw freely from hip hop, rave and R’n’B, and has collaborated most notably with Kanye West, has reinterpreted pop star Nutini’s ‘Iron Sky’, taken from his number one album Caustic Love.

The result is a suitably stormy explosion of beats, piano and shredded electronics to form the backdrop for Nutini’s epic vocal delivery.
