Radiohead have all but finished recording their new album and guitarist Jonny Greenwood has revealed that the band hope to tour it next year.
Speaking to a Russian radio station, Greenwood had some exciting news for fans of the Oxford band:
“We have finished recording of the new album but we keep re-evaluating the work we’ve done. We hope we’ll get it right soon, and after that we’ll start planning the next year’s tour.”
But the radio chat got everyone a little too excited, with Consequence of Sound reporting that “Radiohead’s new album is finished, band plans to tour in 2016, according to Jonny Greenwood.”
The guitarist had the following response on Twitter:
@coslive …to see if it's any good. And we HOPE to tour next year: no plans confirmed yet. Sorry for the over enthusiastic translator….:/

Not many details have been revealed about the new album, which will be their ninth studio record and the first since 2011’s King of Limbs.
In a flurry of activity, Greenwood is due to be releasing his own solo album next month.
Junun was recorded in India earlier this year and reportedly features a mix of “Arabic, Indian and western music.”
