Savages have posted a brand new track from their upcoming second album Adore Life, and it comes complete with a video.

A title track of sorts, ‘Adore’ is the third cut to be unveiled by the band since announcing details of the new album back in October 2015, following ‘The Answer‘ and ‘TIWYG‘.

The follow up to 2013’s debut Silence Yourself is due for release on January 22.

You can watch the video –  directed by Anders Malmberg, with lighting and concept design by Tobias Rylander – here:

At five-minutes long, the track takes a slower pace than what we’ve seen so far from the London post-punkers, though this only serves to ramp up the intensity, as a brooding baseline skits along under crackling guitar noise and Jehnny Beth’s haunting vocal.

The band gave fans an idea of what to expect from the new album when they released a typically poetic statement a few months ago:

“It’s about change and the power to change. It’s about metamorphosis and evolution. It’s about sticking to your guns and toughing it out. It’s about now, not tomorrow. It’s about recognising your potential. It’s about self-doubt and inaction. It’s about you. It’s about me. It’s about you and me and the others. It’s about the choices we make. It’s about finding the poetry and avoiding the cliché.”

Savages also head out on the road in February to air the new record live. The dates are as follows:

February 18: De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill
February 19: Junction, Cambridge
February 21: Art School, Glasgow
February 22: Albert Hall, Manchester
February 23: Irish Centre, Leeds
