Stereophonics have created their very own beer

Welsh rockers Stereophonics have collaborated with the country’s biggest brewer Brains to create their very own bespoke ale.

The new brew has been christened Phonics and measures in at 4.1 percent. The pale ale was made to celebrate the latest Stereophonics album Keep the Village Alive, which came out back in September 2015.

According to Brains, the beer has a unique and distinctive taste, carefully chosen by the band.

“Phonics is a vibrant pale ale with complex citrus, fruit and floral hop character with sweet biscuit and caramel malt flavours, balanced with a crisp bitter finish.”

The brewery is due to begin selling the ale in the next few weeks, with a special pump clip designed by Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones himself.

Sterephonics fans will be pleased to hear that Phonics will be on tap at the group’s upcoming Cardiff City Stadium concert in June this year.
