Bill Murray threw fans’ phones off a rooftop bar

If you come at Bill Murray with your camera phone flashing away, then you best expect consequences.

The wise-cracking Ghostbuster is often known for his off-the-wall interactions with fans – but it seems that those who spotted him in California didn’t catch him in the best of moods.

Reports suggest that a group of fans spotted him hanging out in the Vesuvio Rooftop Loungue in Carmel, California and proceeded to take photographs.

Murray, who was in town for a celebrity golf tournament, became annoyed with the flashes going off from the snap-happy celebrity spotters and proceeded to launch their phones from the top of the building. Bam!

Police were called to the scene after reports of a ‘disturbance’ – but later said in a statement that they were not looking to press charges against Murray.

For his part, Murray later said that the phone owners were happy to be compensated.

The owner of the bar has told various media outlets that Murray had not been drinking at the time, but he was hosting a tequila party with Justin Timberlake.

Our invite must have got lost in the post…right? Guys?
