Picture the scene. You turn up to a film screening only to be told to get changed into a bright orange jumpsuit, handcuffed to someone and bundled into a bus full of guards headed to a top secret location.
Sounds like a nightmare, right?
This was all part of a Secret Cinema-style experience put on by the Glasgow Film Festival last night for its screening of the infinitely quotable action classic, Con Air.
Following in the footsteps of the villainous Cyrus ‘The Virus’ Grissom, played in the film by John Malkovich, movie fans were taken to a full sized plane.
The ‘cons’ got the chance to settle some prison scores on the epic battlefield that is laser tag before sitting down to enjoy good ol’ Nic Cage at his finest.
The ‘convicts’ arrive for inspection.
For the safety of the wardens these animals needed the cuffs slapped on them.
The flying fortress transporting these hardened movie goers to their final destination.
Well…this is terrifying.
He forgot to put the bunny back in the box…
Don’t let the signs fool you, you need to watch your back in the prison canteen, know what I’m sayin’?
Things are a bit more relaxed up in the first class cabin.
Oh my God, they’ve got guns. How did they get guns?!
“Keep laughing boys. You don’t know what i can do with this truncheon.”
The prisoners’ good behaviour is finally rewarded.
