Glasgow Summer Nights 2016 line-up announced
Primal Scream

Kelvingrove Park will be welcoming some big musical guests this summer, with Van Morrison, Primal Scream and Idlewild just three of the names announced for Glasgow’s Summer Nights concerts.

The gigs taking place in the Kelvingrove bandstand in the city’s West End will be taking place across the first two weekends in August (4-7, 11-14).

The first weekend will include performances by Idlewild, C Duncan, Super Furry Animals, Lloyd Cole and Del Amitri’s Justin Currie – with Northern Irish songsmith Van Morrison as the first weekend’s headliner.

The following weekend will see Eddie Reader, Lau‘s Kris Drever, Will Young and rock n’ roll stalwarts Primal Scream taking to the renovated bandstand venue.

Last year’s Summer Nights included shows from King Creosote, Roddy Frame and Glasvegas – with 2016 seeing a highly expanded line-up.

The Kelvingrove Park bandstand underwent a huge restoration back in 2014 and is now one of the city’s best outdoor venues.

There’s plenty to look forward to in Glasgow on those summer niiiiiiiiiights! (It had to be done)
